4th short term Ginkgo trial - Confirmation...

...that Ginkgo works for me, in the moderate way that it has been. On the day before respite required, 3 tablets are taken. The following day, T is there in the morning. But it will subside around 2 hours after waking and for this latest test gave me 5 hours when I could forget I have T. T returns late afternoon, and if anything is more profound that it normally would be. With this test, T remained more profound for the following day after respite, but the day after that (which is today as I type), it's back to 'normal' level.

As I have stated before, we are somewhat over indulged with modern medicine. Used to taking 3 a day of whatever for evermore to keep whatever it is at bay. Ginkgo remains what it is at present - unrefined unprocessed tree in tablet form. I'm grateful it does what it does in its modest state.

I won't be posting anymore trials with Ginkgo unless something changes. I'm not suggesting it is the thing for all. From what I've read on this site, my T is mild. I didn't get it until age 63 and (if Wiki is correct) most likely as a result of a long period of emotional distress which is now in the past. 63 is an age T might come on anyway, and there is a family history - my father and a brother had / have it, but for both it was decades.

So pleased you got some positive results. I am pretty certain it helped my T . I took one a day for years. Cant prove anything , but my T definitely faded away to almost nothing. Maybe it would have done it anyway, cant prove it ? my friend who got T, 6 months after mine ,She didnt take anything. Hers has stayed the same but she can ignore it most of the time.

There's definitely something about Ginkgo, Kelly. Hopefully student audiology scientists will pick up on it. They have to write a thesis on something, and I can't think of any better topic than the potential of the compounds it contains.

Obviously 20 years ago I read something about gingko and tinnitus. Just be aware that Gingko is a natural blood thinner . That's why I cant take it now , already on med ones .

I have both tinnitus and pulsatile tinnitus, i wonder if Ginkgo would help me...?

Worth a try. 30 tablets are inexpensive. But pulsatile tinnitus suggests a physical cause and I've had modest success with non physical at such a low level really that I'm pushing it to call it success. Just a few hours free among days of hearing tinnitus.
