2nd short term Ginkgo trial underway

The 1st was around 10 days ago. 1 tablet taken evening of purchase, and 3 over the following day. The day after that T was not around in the afternoon for a few hours. I thought I had been cured (!) but did come back around 6pm. 3 tablets also taken over that day. The following day T was around and it wouldn't go. Stopped taking Ginkgo.

Left it a week so brain would 'forget' about Ginkgo. Yesterday had 3 tablets over the day. This morning T was loud. Needed my Recording/Playback device to drown it out. But now, approaching 1pm, its varying between faint and not there.

Does Ginkgo have some effect then if used this way. I don't know. Need more of these trials to come to a better understanding. But if it does, then I have something to take the day before a social event, for example. It's not much, but with a condition like T small looms large in my opinion and I am grateful for just a morsel that comes my way.

thanks Ray for reporting back on this. I think we’re all aware that what suits one of us doesn’t necessarily suit another but all this is good to know. Someone recently posted a not dissimilar “experiment” with magnesium, and as we have it in the house already (my husband finds it helps back pain) I’m giving it a go. Nothing to report as yet, though!

Hello again, Rosie. Its approaching 3pm and T is v faint, and at times not there. Are there times in my day, or more accurately some days, where this would happen anyway or I'm so otherwise engaged in something that I don't notice T then the answer is yes. My excitement is that I (may have) 'ordered' today's respite purposely.

My interest in Ginkgo will continue. It's made it as a herbal therapy for T somehow so it must have some merit. The other thing is that we are over expectant of anything in pill form to be taken. Conventional medicine MUST work if taken as directed and anything that doesn't gets discarded. But it's quite an ask to expect that every time for everything in pill form. That's my angle on it - discovering the method that will cause a worthwhile effect.

the first time I had T ,took Gingko for years . I think it was the feeling that I was at least trying something that some reports recommended . At least there were no bad effects reported. Did it work ? who knows ? took it for years and eventually I didn't hear the T. ( until this years statins)

Hello Kelly. I won't be taking Gingko continually for any amount of time. For me it is working in an acute way on an as and when required. Because of sparse success I have read about, I have the idea that whatever is in Gingko needs to leave the brain otherwise the brain becomes accustomed to it and it loses potency. I'm conducting the experiments on that basis. On 3nd short term trial (and its positive!) and will report to site shortly.

Good luck with it . I would take it again but Gingko is a natural blood thinner and I already take those for my heart. So don't think its a good idea which is a pity.
