I have really bad itchy nearly from 2 months dr gave me some ointment then tablets but nothings help. I tried oil and vapour no help. some nights can’t sleep because of the itchy feeling. when I feel itchy my ears I feel anxiety. my gp dr said they can’t do anything. I can’t explain you how deep is my itchy feeling sometimes. that’s why I said is possible anything in my ears like bugs or something 😭😢. i’m scared now.

Sorry I had not understood you. You ask whether it is possible to have insects in your ears and I suppose it’s possible. In your earlier two posts people gave you their tips on what they thought could be done, and I expect you have asked your pharmacist for help too.

Maybe some other posters will read this and give their opinion, I’m sorry I’ve got nothing extra to offer you.

You could have Dermatitis in your ears…dry flakey skin which drives you mad. I saw a dermatologist for itchy ears & that was his diagnosis. I now use steroid cream which calms it down…& stops you scratching which can make your ears bleed & cause infection..

I had to see the specialist privately, but it was really worth it.

Just a thought, if the steroid was prescribed by a GP & he hadn’t biopsied to see what infection he was treating….it might not have been the right type of steroid .I had tests done by the dermatologist. The dermatitis isn’t cured..if I stop using the cream I use… it returns after a while….but it’s better than getting an infection.

There are different types of steroid for different problems. If it doesn’t get any better it would be worth asking to be tested.

hi sun_1234 just a thought could it be an allergic reaction to something? i get itchy ears when i come into contact with toxins. maybe try an antihistamine or if anything you have come into contact with in the past 2 months. Worth thinking about if you can eliminate the need for ointment especially if not working
