Does any here think out loud as technique for sanity maintenance. I do. I receive mixed reactions from others if they see me do this. For example many have commented that they think I am talking to an Imaginary friend. Others tell me plainly to shut up or call me mad. It can un nerve them. But it helps me survive for the past 30 years. I see my self as a success story of tinnitus adaption.

I talk to myself all the time - it`s the only way to get the right answers he he!!

But seriously if it help you with your tinnitus then carry on talking - whatever helps you - you`re not harming anyone else. One of the things that helped me at the beginning (nine years ago was to keep telling myself that I didn`t mind these noises - that I liked them. Today I live quite happily with my tinnitus.
