Eustachian tube
hi Nasturtium. I see no one has replied to you. If you put “eustachian tube” into search box of this site top right you’ll get what others have said. Happy reading!
Hi Nasturtium
I have closed eustacian tubes, can’t pop my ears, I have tried everything, as nasal sprays, steroid sprays, steaming ,it has not solved my problem. .
To get a little opening, I start using my neti pot, first thing in the morning, and afterwards I use my device Eustachi. It gives seconds of relief only. But lovely seconds. 😊 Due to dysfunction of the eustacian tubes, I have muffled hearing, very, very loud tinnitus 24/7. Been worse since it started 7 years ago after an Inner Ear middle infection. Hope you will find your own way.
Don't they have a way to open that tube if it is closed? I think that may be the problem I am having. I feel like that side is closing up and my ear is getting clogged again and the tinnitus is much louder. I wish I could get in to see an ENT TODAY. It is so hard waiting to be able to get some help with this. There should be a way to see a Dr as soon as you start having this problem instead of having to wait a month or more and try to suffer thro this on your own.
Yes, waiting time to get in touch with an ENT is frustrating, when you need help.
I had a balloon dilation of the eustacian tubes back in 2017, with only little succes. I remember that I could pop my ears afterwards, but had still tinnitus. But not as bad as it is now, as I have got Hyperacusis too. In fact I am going to talk with my ENT soon, about a new dilation, as my tubes are closed again. Nasal sprays does not help me. Best wishes for your recovery.
Please let me know how you make out. Best wishes to you..
