No. An MRI is used to look for or (rule out) tumors or growths (malignant or benign).

Sorry, I got CT scan and MRI confused again (I thought I was going for an MRI but it turned out to be CT scan). A CT scans detects tumours. It takes x-rays of your body in layers. MRI use radiowaves for more detailed analysis in body tissue. For my diagnosis, I was given a hearing test which they said mild hearing loss, and a visual inspection of the ear they saw scaring to my eardrum from having grommets when I was a kid. I pushed for further investigation and asked for an MRI. The CT scan ruled out a tumour. The conclusion was my Tinnitus is caused through hearing loss - damage in the cochlear.

I've mostly learnt to accept it, with the help of strategies. I find it hard to relax, but I've always suffered from insomnia and I suspected I have ADHD - I've not been diagnosed. I take Sertraline to help me sleep and control my anxiety and frustration.
