Yes, I know - the easiest way to avoid aggravating is not to go BUT

Does anyone have any recommendations for earplugs for such an event?

Hi White_Lightning Nothing wrong with enjoying yourself! Alpine do music safe plugs & muffs. You can order them online at Alpine Hearing Protection. Have a great time 🙂

I have a pair of Alpine MusicSafe Pro which I take to concerts and I find them excellent as not only do they have an adjustable pair of gromits depending on how live the music is but I also find it does not degrade my enjoyment of the music. alpinehearingprotection.co....

If you want more info on ear protection, it may be worth having a look at the BTA campaign plugem plugem.co.uk/earplugs/

I have noise reducing ear plugs made by Tiger. I use them generally when the world seems a bit much, superb for hoovering etc. They might help. Not expensive. Enjoy the concert!

Hi if you are going to run the gauntlet at a rock concert then get the earplugs that the musicians and crew use. They are custom fitted & not cheap but they are the best thing short of a set of ear defenders to protect your ears at these types of extremely loud eventsacscustom.com/uk/?gclid=Cjw...

I've been using earplugs from Senner which usually keep me well protected but often 'muffle' the quality of sound I can hear.Seems the products suggested are actually much better than mine!

Hi. I use in traffic and on tube etc as it's loud the alpine music safe earplugs. They have earplugs for every situation like motorbikes, recreational sports I believe and much more. But alpine's music safe ones come with free SNR ratio reduction levels of 11, 19 and 22 (up to 25db max)

Very good and you can still hear the good stuff clearly

Hi. I wear ear plugs for sleep. Two I'd recommend are Boots own foam ones or 3M foam ones which are available from Amazon.

2 Pairs Concert Ear Plugs, Hearprotek Noise Cancelling High Fidelity Earplugs-Hearing Protection for Musicians, Live Music, Drummer, Percussion, DJ & Clubbing

Cannot get link to work but use these from Amazon. 3 different strength decibel filters. Still would stay well away from speakers.

Use medium when rehearsing with orchestras and can still hear speech. In fact seems to make speech clearer.

Should add that orchestra is accoustic ie not amped. Would be going for ones bournville suggested if near amps and speakers

Also have some Loop Pro Earplugs but tbh the cheaper ones seem better and were approved of by Specsavers audiologist.
