Out of nowhere last night my right ear just felt so full and it’s also ringing whenever there is sound . Has this ever happened to anyone else before? It’s so blocked I feel like I can’t hear from that ear.
I will add, I can free it for a second by putting my finger in my ear and moving it around for a second but it will come back nearly straight away? Any tips or advice on what to do or what may be causing this? I can’t live like this 🥺

Hello Amyleeh. This simply seems to me that your ears are blocked with wax. You can try yourself to unblock by using drops from your pharmacy. Ask your pharmacist for his/her advice locally., as you might need the ears syringed or otherwise dealt with.
Do NOT use ear buds, nor anything you see advertised on social media unless their products are supported by relevant charities etc.
Try and talk to a GP, Amyleeh - what you are experiencing may be worrying you quite a lot, but getting some idea about what the potential cause is should help a lot. As Rosie suggests, a pharmacist is a good option to consult for over-the-counter olive oil drops which can help to unblock an ear which has excess wax.
Happyrosie TinnitusUKPat thanks so much for the reply. I took an antihistamine this morning and all the blocked/fullness seems to have subsided. I’m left now with a very loud ring in my right ear that’s been there for about 2 hours now. Hopefully that will subside down to my base level again soon
Hi there, same happened to me before. Not to worry as ear fullness, congestion takes very slow...long healing by itself. Mine fully recover after 2 months, but T is still there. Take care.
I’ve got an intermittent blocked feeling in the ear which is sensitive to sound - hyperacusis. This seems to be the result of a bad bout of covid according to the practice nurse at surgery. The other ear has tinnitus which started after bad dental trauma on that side. Double whammy! Anyone else had tinnitus after bad tooth episode?
