Hi everyone, I have been prescribed Co-Dydramal for Pain relief after a nasty fall on my back. Has anyone tried this med and did it have any side effects relating to tinnitus?

I do hope that you get your back better soon . If you need those painkillers then you must take them . I think different people have different side affects with medication . Co Dydramol are quite strong , I can’t see that it should affect your tinnitus . It’s a chance you must take . T is such a weird condition you just never know . Your back is the priority at the moment .

Yes thank you. Thank you for your reply rabbits65. I am trying to avoid tje meds and see if the pain goes on its own. Do you know if pain killers are necessary?

Well I’m not in the habit of taking painkillers myself but if I feel the need to then I do take some. I also find that hot water bottles are a great comfort for pain. Back pain is nasty , look after your back Someone once said to me. “ we only have one back “. Goodnight

Thank you rabbits65 it's still painful. Is a spike only temporary when taking ibuprofen and strong pain killers?

I really wouldn’t worry about it too much . You will be alright . With me I just don’t make a habit of painkillers .

Yes I've taken one as the back is painful. It's mainly soft tissue damage.

You might need to take them for a few days . Bad backs are awful. I get a lot of sciatica pain . Hot water bottles are great or you know those electric heat pads you can buy . 😊

Yes I've just bought a heat pad from John Lewis in the UK. I have a donut cushion from Amazon which arrived today. I'll continue with the meds as they are helping and they don't interfer with the T. In fact I've got T under control. It is hardly noticeable so I consider myself lucky. It came on suddenly in January 2021 and is slowly diminishing. That's a blessing. Hope your T is stable.
