Right ear tinnitus and vascular loop,
Following an MRI the radiologist concluded that i have a small vascular loop in the right IAM in contact with the seventh and eighth cranial nerves.
Is this treatable?

It’s good that you’ve got your results. However you need to ask either ENT doctors or your own GP that question .
Many thanks. This was just one of several issues the MRI explored. All were explained in a covering letter. But because of covid-19 restrictions, face-to-face meetings with a GP are hard to come by, and given the frequent reports about the pressure the NHS is experiencing, I’m reticent about pursuing this.
Oh I would definitely pursue it because you will always wonder what’s what . Good luck. 😊
I have the same in a slightly different location. Was told it was incidental to my other hearing issues (I have Meniere's), and nothing has been done about it. I was basically told that it was no problem, and as far as I can tell it hasn't been. I was diagnosed a year and a half ago. It can be the cause of pulsatile tinnitus (which I had long before the vascular loop) and if it's bad there is some possible treatment for that. For me it's not worth doing anything, for you it may be different. If it's really bothering you then you might want to explore further. If you haven't seen a specialist I would definitely make a face to face appointment to see one. Even if you have to wait a while, it will be worth it to have an expert opinion.
