I had the Pfizer 7 days a go, had usual headaches sorry arm, but now I have this unbelievable dizziness/lightheaded like I'm drunk! I know this is the side affects as I've never had this before! I feel like I've got a full head like when you get blocked ears on a flight.
Or I'm swaying like on a rocky boat!
I will admit I don't drink enough water, maybe I need to up that.
I'm trying my best to get on with me I feel like I'm spinning out for most of my day.
I'm single parent too and have no one to help
Look after my kids so I have to be ok ! Is my GP worth speaking to as I doubt they will agree it's vaccine related!
Has anyone else had this ? What's helped u or cured it ? Thankyou x

Hello Dani. I do sympathise. I have had bouts of vertigo and nothing to do with jabs. The first one, ten years ago, just happened while I was on a walk and the second one while I was doing Pilates lying down. You wake up in the morning with an enormous hangover with no alcohol involved and it’s hard to stay upright properly.
There are answers. There’s no ‘cure’ but your doc should prescribe something like Stemetil or Prochlorperazine. This takes the edge off. Drink PLENTY of water.
Also, you can train your brain to believe the eyes rather than the ears. Google the Brain &Spine Foundation and find their fact sheet Vestibular rehabilitation exercises. Just do the ones where you sit down and move either your eyes or your head. Your doctor may give you these exercises too.
I congratulate you on being able to even use a computer or phone to post this plea for help, when I’m know the screen is moving around you (or seems to)
Finally, with these things above it WILL get better. I wish you well.
When I had my inner ear event I got T, Vertigo (BBPV) and hearing loss. For my type of vertigo I found the brandt daroff exercises my GP and ENT told me to do really helped (I also have heard others who have had vertigo have gained benefit from the Epley maneuver which again my ENT spoke to me about), but not sure if this will help with your dizziness/vertigo as vaccine related. If your symptoms do not subside then I would say yes you need to get a care plan in place with your GP.
So sorry you are going through this Dani. I think you should go to your GP. They are best placed to help you. But don't try to look brave and diminish the impact its having on you. Remember that the vaccine has created in your body an immune response to the virus. So whatever reaction you might have had to it, it's a sample of what the actual virus would probably have done.
I hope you can get the right medication to help you with the vertigo. 💙
Thanks everyone! Called my GP he said it’s either BVVP or labrynthitis , and prescribed prochlorperazime So took them this morning. I’ve done some research and it seems this labrynthitis like SimToTheWorld Said it’s such a strong reaction to the vax. And it’s caused massive Inflammation in my body/head and I’m taking antidistamines and are avoiding caffeine alcohol and sugar. I’ve been taking vitamins too but I’m thinking of gettin an IV vitamin therapy to try and help pump my body into healing. My kids are 4&6 I need to get better ASAP. Thanks so much for your replies means the world xx
Remember this is not necessarily a reaction to the vaccine. My deafness came on very suddenly after a flight. It’s tempting to relate it to the flight. Years later I was diagnosed with Menieres and the flight was not a culprit. I say this so you leave yourself open to other possibilities. Correlation does not necessarily imply causation. Good luck.
Was admitted to hospital for the dizziness, head pressure & headaches last night, Went to gp after a bad wknd and he wasn't happy and said he doesn't think it's ear infection thinks it's an infection in my body maybe !
Bloods & urine come back no Infections but high blood pressure Doc in hospital said that sometimes headaches can be caused by vaccine but maybe not dizziness but I was fine before the vaccine. Basically gave me more prochloperazine and said I need a referral to ENT.
So sorry to hear you are having a rough time, I am same as you with head pressure, vertigo even when lying in bed, I have had this for so many years now and will try anything to stop the daily head ache and lightheaded feeling.I was referred to ENT but wait was so long I went private but I understand it’s not possible for everyone, I had 2 scans, blood tests and saw a consultant who said everything is clear, it’s not ears or head, part of me was relieved but also upset as didn’t get anywhere, so went back on waiting list and saw same consultant I just paid a fortune for, he referred me to the physio neurology department who did the Epley manoeuvre as the suspected it was the crystals in the ear canal that needs rebalancing, it sort of worked but not brilliant , I have been diagnosed with vestibular migraine, and PPPD , ( persistent postural perceptive dizziness)
If you look on vestibular.org website there is such a lot of information on there, that was my go to place when I felt down, now I have found this forum though, it’s been a godsend.
Like you I take Prochlorperazine for nausea, have just been given Betahistine to try but can’t take Prochlorperazine with it.
Hang on in there, I know how you feel but persevere and you will get an answer,
it must be hard with two young children so take care, am thinking of you.
Hi DaniI've just joined this forum looking to find others who have suddenly gone from fit and healthy to debilitated with vertigo after covid jabs. I wondered how you are doing now,? I woke up with vertigo 14 days after my AZ jab it lasted 21 days then settled. I got again for 10 days after 2nd AZ jab Then I had Pfizer booster in Oct , 8 weeks ago and it started within 48hrs of having the jab but thus time I have vertigo attacks during the night, but like you I have this horrible head pressure
it feels like my brain is inflamed. I makes my eyes ache and I've had eyes tested again and my optician says my eyes are healthy.
My GP gave me Cinnarizine back in Jan which helped with the nausea, but when the head pressure started I got scared and paid private to see an ENT specialist, NH S I would waited months. He did Epley, it made me worse for a week, still got vertigo. I've had 5 days of high dose Steroid tablets these helped but vertigo came back after I stopped taking them but they suppress immunity so can't take long term. Had MRI scan, it was normal.
I've now got to start Betahistine and see a balance specialist then possibly a Neurologist. My consultant cant get my diagnosis right because my symptoms don't fit entirely with BPPV or Menieres. I told him its a bad reaction to covid vaccines but he doesn't know how to treat it as such. My mam who is 84 also has exactly the same symptoms as me hers too followed vaccines she's never had vertigo previously. Her GP keeps doing Brant Daroff manouvre on her, but vertigo comes back after 3 days.
I'm desperate for this to end I'm usually very active and play alot of tennis but this is affecting my ability to work, my physical and mental health, its stressing me out and just hope there's others out there that have had same symptoms but now recovered and can offer some hope.
Are you any better? Have you found any treatment that helps ?
Hi i had my second pfizer vaccine in May and have had horrible head pressure ever since. Its like having a clamp on my head. It was worse after my booster in November. I often feel lightheaded with nausea. Feel i am going around in circles as never had headaches prior to vaccine. Have referral to ENT appt 2023!!
Hi Dani, I have V and T too. I'd suggest like others get Dr's appointment as it may be something else, I have anti-nausea tablets when mine kicks in- mine tends to be labyrinthitis when I am severely stressed. Hope you get some help and feel for you. X
