I first got terrible headaches when I had covid 16 months ago. Then in Feb this year got a strange buzzing in my ear. Now 6 months on that high pitch buzzing is getting worse.I continue to get the headaches. The audiologist gave me hearing aids but they dont help.
Is it normal to get headaches with this piercing buzzing?
Why does my right ear start depending how I bend my head and in bed at night ?
Really negatively affecting me !!
Any thoughts please

Hi Rod. Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry you got covid last year. It sounds as if you have headaches & tinnitus as a result. Whether they're connected or not I couldn't say. It's very normal for tinnitus to affect people negatively. You've come to the right place. The BTA have a website & a helpline and - of course - this forum. Stay as calm as possible. T usually gets easier to manage over time. Six months is early days.
I had vaccine April 2022 and believe it caused my Tinnutis but then I also did a ketamine experience for a group experience. I have never done meds like that ever and it was intense and like my brain exploded and my nerves were overstimulated. After that the ringing became intense. Turns out a tiny acoustic neuroma was found. However I had no symptoms until after vaccine. Ketamine. I attribute it to ketamine which overstimulated my brain and nerves. Wish I had known what a mistake that would be!
Hi, Kellyc. I had COVID late march 2021. I had vaccine may 2021. I started feeling tinnitus in june. I went to several doctors and so far it was not possible to reduce the volume. Maybe it's related to teething (wisdom tooth or ear-jaw articulation), COVID or the vaccine.
Hi Rod, I also had COVID last winter and have some symptoms of long COVID mainly taste and smell issues, and now also an ear problem for the last 2-3 months which did not respond to antibiotics etc and tinnitus too, occasional headaches and a feeling of general blocked sinuses, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if there is a link between these issues and that pesky virus. Not easy to get ENT appointments at the moment, but hopefully we will get some answers soon...
