I took my first AZ covid vaccine may 20 and 3 days later a tire deflating noise started in my brain.
It was constant, now with hours of silence most days but worried about taking the second shot, do know know that not taking it is very risky. No need to talk about that.
Asking myself which brand to take as the second one if I decide to do it. most likely will.
Any information on this topic will be very welcomed. No point in answering you did not get any spike or your T did not start with this vaccine thank you!!
Has anyone here asked his/her Dr. on how to proceed with something like this?
As a side note, few years back I had a pill create me the same T noise, it did go away in a few weeks after stopping to take it. With the vaccine its almost 3 months and just some days a little better.
With best regards and wishes to you all.

I cannot quote the exact web address here but if you go the the website of British tinnitus Association you should be able to find the info you need - if not, give them a ring on Monday morning. Assuming you’re in the uk.
I got tinnitus for the first time 2 or 3 days after the AstraZenica shot. 'Tyre hissing' noise is a very good description. It has never gone but I don't notice it in company or if distracted. It is worst in the mornings when I wake up. I got the second AZ 11 weeks later. Didn't affect the AZ in any way. As background, I had Covid early Feb 2020 so it wasn't diagnosed, just 'flu' I looked after myself and was really sick for a short time, got left with no sense of taste for 6 months. The first shot I had a 5-day reaction, the second a 2-day one. I miss hearing silence.
Hi 180C I had my first jab of Astra Zeneca in January, about 3 weeks later my tinnitus started to get a bit louder by the end of February it was screaming in my ears. I had no other reaction to the Jab.
Like you I was scared to death of having the 2nd one of Astra Zeneca, I consulted my doctor who referred me to ENT My doctor told me in his opinion "it was up to me but no one knows the long term results."
The consultant at ENT advised me to have the second Jab which I did and so far with no extra noticeable effect on my tinnitus
This is me as well, though I had Pfizer. I am awaiting AHS (in Canada, provincial Health services) to tell me whether to proceed with any further jabs (I am sure they will tell me to do so)
Hi, I took shingles after my second AZ jab, and subsequently tinnitus which has never gone away. My GP says there is anecdotal evidence of the AZ jab causing both, but there is no definitive proof. Now with this constant ringing in my ears I look on that second jab day as a milestone in my life. My GP says Tinnitus can go away as suddenly as it came, but it has been me now since 23 June. I'm beginning to think I am stuck with it, and I am terrified at the notion of a booster jab.
Would say you have good chances of getting better.I did take Sinhistan twice for 1 week with a month brake, Audiovit since day 5 almost 3 months now...
Thanks for the responses so far. Really appreciate them.
Tinnx, since I already took my first AZ vaccine and developed T from it I am quite worried that my second jab could make it worse.
With that in mind I am trying to find out how the second shot side effects on tinnitus compared to the first shot have been in order to decide if to take it or not.
My case is to have developed T due to the vaccine (lets asume so) but experiences of spikes on already active tinnitus cases before the first jab are also welcomed.
Also wonder if taking my second shot from another brand like Pfizer might be better than again from AZ.
I have tinnitus in my left ear only. Straight after my 1st Pfizer jab, (while still waiting in the building) my tinnitus suddenly got louder and affected my right ear momentarily. The increase hasn’t diminished. I too was worried about my 2nd jab for this reason. When the nurse administering the 2nd jab asked if I’d had any reactions to my 1st, I told her about the worsening of my tinnitus. She said I wasn’t the first person to mention this to her and to report it. The 2nd jab fortunately didn’t have the same affect on the tinnitus as the first. I occasionally (twice) have since wondered if I was developing it in my right ear, but if so it’s a lot quieter than the left so not so noticeable. Just hope that that remains to be the case.
Hi 1st AZ nothing. 2nd AZ T started after 2 weeks. Never had T before. Nearly 3 months in and still got it. ENT specialist seemed a little unaware of linkage but that was months ago so presumably had no exp of the link to vacc. but I bet he's had a few more present logically....good luck.
