Tinnitus is a very tough gig. The emotional - as well as the physical - impact can be profound. You're not alone in feeling the way you do. I went thru a dark time last year. I've learned several strategies to help me cope, adjust & adapt to a new way of life. I hope you'll feel better very soon. You are not alone. All the best.
Hey Chilled Artist,
I'm sorry to read that things continue to be difficult for you - your frustration is apparent from your thread title.
Going through bleak moments or feeling low about the world and your place in it is tough to cope with, and we all have those periods where everything seems like it can't get better.
Some of those things are more open to being controlled or changed than others - the macro scale problems which frustrate us when we watch the news or navigate the world are often beyond our ability to directly influence.
The micro scale problems - how we live with tinnitus, the views we have about it, the measures we put in place to make it less distressing and more possible to tolerate - are generally what we can control and what our doctors feel more comfortable in dealing with.
The post and replies from emmakt recently might be helpful to you Chilledartist.
I feel like crap and can’t concentrate nearly 4 months with high pitch tinnitus. We are all in the same boat☹️
I'm only 2 weeks in and feel exactly the same. Have had to come into hospital as couldn't sleep and felt so low. I have found some relief with mindfulness, and an app called Oto which I downloaded, it may not work for you but it's worth a try. Take care x
