So, further to my previous post ref my T and stress (or the potential cause), I have noticed that when I clench my teeth, my T changes pitch. Does anyone else experience this? Could this indicate that my teeth are the cause ( i have all my wisdom teeth). As I was never actually diagnosed, i am, as I am sure are others, trying to find a cause/solution.

Teeth
There have been some comments over past months about this. One or more posters have said that skull/jaw misalignment has made T worse if I remember right. Certainly I had a friend years ago whose terrible migraine were cured when dentist told him jaw misaligned. Worth discussing with dentist
Hello Tim,Yes I get that too. I have trouble with my toramdibular joint in the jaw , it causes pain, it causes the tinnitus to flare up worse if the jaw flares . It’s all part and parcel I think . If we clench our teeth and jaws it makes everything in our head worse. Hence relaxation is the key to helping tinnitus get a bit easierr
Don’t think tinnitus ever goes away completely but we can learn to help ourselves . I also need to help my anxieties .
Hi TimSussex , yes, problems with the jaw (temporo-mandibular joint) can cause/affect tinnitus. I'm sure others will have personal experience of it, but you can also read about it here: tinnitus.org.uk/tinnitus-an...
We're also holding a webinar on TMJ and Tinnitus on May 17th that you might want to have a look at: tinnitus.org.uk/Event/tempo...
I hope this helps!

Thank you Emily. Yes, I had read about that but my question was slightly different. If I clench my teeth, the tinnitus changes pitch...
Yes, clenching your teeth would put pressure on the joints and muscles connected to your ear. I actually found this free webinar really helpful as well: youtube.com/watch?v=_JeBE2C...
