The first time I got T, was befor 9 years after I put braces, it wasent that bad, and it went by its own but I dont remmember when and how, I just know that after months or a year I was normal, slept without any white noise beside me. it came back to me 4 years later and it was louder, I was depressed but it went by itself in weeks, months, I dont really remember. my last one came back month ago, with dizzeness feeling that I didn't have befor and a louder T, and it came back after I took off the braces (anothe braces that I have put on 2 years ago), after I put on a plastic retainer that the dentest gave me, and after less than a week I had T coming back louder, I stoped putting on the retainer, but nothing changed.

have the T now for a month and a week, I want to ask couple of questions (I went to doctors, gave me nothing, getting back to get second openion)...

1) T that came and went by itself twice, will it go again by itself? (Any one had an issue like this?)

2) anyone devaloped T after praces removal and tryes night guard that helped him? Will it go by itself?

3) I have an upcoming wedding (mine), some relevant say that stress from work with stress before wedding may also lead to T, I'm so confused, dont know what caused mine, is it the bracces? Stress?

Im frustrated, I wanted to start a happy life, getting married with a wonderful man standing beside me, I dont want to lose my life and to lose him and makd him unhappy if I had to live with thiss owful noise in the head . he is verry supportive... but I want to go back to normal again and be happy prepparing my wedding 🥺

How lovely Raneen to have your wedding to look forward to. . Maybe your feeling anxious about the wedding and this is increasing your T levels. Try and calm down a bit and your T will calm down. I do know that if I’m relaxed and happy I feel better. If I have a stressful day it definitely increases the pressure in my head and levels of at get highet.Enjoy the weather, go for walks, listen to birdsong out there and importantly enjoy your lovely man . Try and relax is all km saying. Because Tinnitus really thrives on our stress .

I think it unlikely that braces/retainers cause T, but their action on an already mis-aligned jaw might. You might have a temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problem. You could try going back to your dentist, explain that you've had T since wearing a mouth appliance and ask your dentist to check your TMJ for mis-alignment.

If your TMJ is out of alignment you might be advised to wear a different type of night-time mouth appliance, called a splint, to correct it.

If a visit to the dentist comes to nothing, you could try visiting a chiropractor to have your neck and head muscles and cervical spine checked out for postural issues and spinal alignment problems. Personally, I won't allow any vigorous chiropractic intervention such as low amplitude neck thrusts or neck traction. Such procedures don't agree with everyone and in my experience made matters worse.

Postural changes, carefully targeted neck/head exercises, massage, trigger release therapy and gentle neck activation might do the trick to quieten your T symptoms given the circumstances surrounding its origin.

However, do bear in mind that there are no fixes for idiopathic T or any guarantees that any T will resolve. Most of us who develop it have it for life and must learn to habituate. This does happen; just give it time and try to relax meanwhile.

There's lots of good advice about T management and habituation on the BTA website.
