Yes , to be honest yes . The migraines were mild but it definitely was the start of my T . I still get occasional head pains . My GP originally said at first I had migraines, I said “ no” I have more than that. I still get dizzy tooBut the Tinnitus is the most debilitating . So, do you get these migraines as your asking us .

Thanks for the reply-I’m not sure tbh. My T started in 2012 after a massive headache. It was loud and stayed for about 2 years and then disappeared-I hadn’t habituated-it went -much to the confusion of ENT. I’ve had another headache although this was different-a burning that started at the back of my head and spread over-after that stopped the T is back. Waiting to see a Neuro. I’ve been dizzy but that seems to have gone to a greater degree.

Thank you for your reply . You have really been through the mill haven’t you? From what your saying it does seem like your headaches have triggered bad T . Now I’m feeling mine must have been triggered in the same way .

Yes they talk a lot on here about habituation . It’s seems like the best way forward as the medics don’t seem interested in Tinnitus , this is ashame as I think there are a lot of unexplained issues and queries and answers badly required .

Absolutely- back in 2012 when I initially developed it I was given one short course of a Migraine med called Sumatriptan-and the T went down by 90%. Came back up as the effect wore off-needless to say nobody believed me! ENT thought I was making it up. It eventually went away.

Sadly there is little we can do it seems. I contacted that famous place in Harley street London. They are seeing people but it’s too far for me to go. They do zoom calls . They do charge for their programmes . Think they are the best tinnitus clinic .

I hesitate to say this - because everyone is different - but I know of someone who went there. A friend of a friend. She wasn't overly satisfied with the experience. I'm trying to find out more. I couldn't go to London either rabbit. I wonder how they look in your ears via zoom ..

Interesting what you have mentioned. I am sceptical too. I guess we have to do is cope all on our own . Thanks for replying. Goodnight

I've found out a little more .. Friend's friend went for an initial appointment (£195) . Medical history, tests, time to ask questions. Very thorough. The problem is the cost. It runs into £1000's if you do the program. She decided not to as her tinnitus isn't too intrusive at the moment.

Yes indeed. Severe migraine followed by overly-vigorous osteopathy to help the aftermath marked the start of my tinnitus, among other things. Not a good combo in my experience!

It just goes to show how delicate the auditory system is , but this forum is brilliant because it makes us feel not quite so alone with this trouble.

I certainly get severe tinnitus during a migraine, though my T is very loud at the best of times.
