Well from what I’ve heard on here Tinnitus doesn’t go away . I’ve had mine ten months . I had various medicines like you when I was dizzy but decided to stop taking the medicines after awhile because of upset tummy. It’s very disappointing when you know you’ve got this dam tinnitus for good . Sorry to not have good news .

It’s not necessarily that your T has come on because of your vertigo and it’s treatment. It can just happen. It might go away, it might not.

I saw an audiologist recently (for hearing test) and she mentioned how very, very common the T is, and that most people just accept it and get on with life. I’m not saying that this is easy, but there’s no cure. Just habituation.

The audiologist you saw is quite right tinnitus is getting very common, however, there is different degrees of it. Some people have it mildly and can live with it . Some people have tinnitus very badly and then it becomes overbearing and stressful . My tinnitus is bad and is completely filling my head up. It is frightening when you have it like mine. There is no help , that’s the upsetting part.

1 in 50 people have it severely. If you're one of those people you can't just 'accept it and get on with life' . You need help.
