Has anyone found giving up or reducing alcohol consumption has helped reduce tinnitus? I normally find a drink in the evening takes the edge of the tinnitus but I have now been cutting back for awhile and think it’s time to quit to see if I can make any improvement.
Finding out other people’s experiences with alcohol and tinnitus would be really helpful.

Hello barnabas. I love your spelling .... I have a brink in the evening too. I used to have two glasses of wine or cider every evening up till the time when (twenty years ago was it?) the recommendation for women went to 14 units a week. Which I stuck to other than on holiday until about a month ago when I reduced to about half that.
And I found it’s made no difference. But that’s just me. You might be different!
Hi Barnabas, I have tried stopping drinking alcohol and it made no difference to my Tinnitus, but it might help for some people, having a few drinks now and then helps me to fall asleep and not thinking about my T.
