Any boday on hear tried a CBT course for tinnitus

I’m on a waiting list at the moment as it was recommended by my doctor to help as I’m struggling after getting T in June following a virus in my inner ear. Got an initial call with the counsellor tomorrow.

Yes and it was a lifesaver!!! I didn’t have to wait as I was post-partum and basically suicidal so they rushed me through and it made such a difference. That was 4 years ago and although my T is still there, loud at times and scary at times too, I can work through it and calm myself quite easily now.

Whilst you’re waiting...3 things I’d recommend:

1. YouTube videos of Julian Cowan Hill-he helped me tremendously

2. Try to accept it. The more you fight it, the worse it will get.

3. Manage any stress you can. It’s hard in these times but anything you can do to destress (having someone time out, walking in nature, reading a book, meditation, puzzles etc) will help.
