I contacted T during lockdown. It sounded like a decript tubelight choke & I initially though it to be external. Then it gradually grew in volume. I went to ENT about two weeks later. He suggested to stay away from earphones and mobile in ears for too long & also prescribed neurobion & ginkobiloba to be taken once daily. In the last couple of weeks the T has reduced in shrill. I am trying to exercise discipline over food and even undertaken cranial therapy which has yielded some result. Is there any way I can get out of this?

Tinnitus during lockdown
dchatrath, I’m sorry you are finding it hard.
It IS hard.
Have a look at a recent post by Audio and his replies, you may find some comfort there.
Thanks Happyrosie. I was trying to locate the post by audio. But was not successful. If you can copy and paste into your reply. That would be truly helpful.
Dchatrath, here goes the first post:

I only recently joined and have had tinnitus for over forty years.
Loud high pitched screaming noise in my right ear and low pitched humming in my left ear. The cause is from long term exposure (circa 12 years) to industrial noise in excess of 90db prior to retirement 10 years ago. I have learned to accept the T and get on with my life being very careful to keep away from loud noises or wear ear protection when required.
Anyway to recap, over time I found my brain adjusted to the T and became less intrusive.
About a month ago the T in my right ear suddenly for no apparent reason increased in intensity and I am now struggling to cope with it in the short term. I assume its due to to my advancing age.
My way of coping with the T is to look around and think myself lucky observing
and admiring many people getting on with their lives who are far worse off than myself.
Apologies for my ramblings !!!!
Then there were lots of helpful replies, I shall try to paste them but I’m not sure if I can now leave this post!!!! Here goes:
