I recently started getting Tinnitus. Its not been easy i have gone through all the emotions/anxiety probably the worst thing for Tinnitus but its not easy. I just wanted to ask this community any help you have would be so appreciated like Vitamins, Sleep Help, Can i still listen to my wireless headphones, Some forums on FB can be very confronting and i don't think that helps in the long run. so anything i would be grateful

I recently started getting T too. I read that Iron tablets could help so I’ve started to take them as I can’t see why it would hurt anyway. I’m also confused if I can wear my wireless AirPods but I assume that if you can wear hearing devices that transmit white noise etc then it’s ok as long as the volume is not loud? Sorry I cannot be more help x
No thats great thankyou its been such a shock to my system this and i am trying to calm my nervous system but hearing other stories helps so much i might try iron too xx thankyou xx
Read some books on the topic T understand the need for mindfulness as self help.
I couldn’t live without something in my ears to sleep. I have a sleep mask with inbuilt speakers and a brilliant white noise app - i use crashing waves bit you can also do talking books on a timer which helps.
thankyou i was looking at the sleep pillow myself i have been using my tablet on white noise or a air purifier, but that sounds good what you use i am getting some extra therapy s to try and relax but its hard isn't it thanks so much for the reply x
I have had Tinnitus for 4 years now, I have progressive hearing loss and wear 2 hearing aids. I was referred to see a hearing therapist as the Tinnitus was affecting my mental health. It is at times very loud and I have 2 different sounds, worse when stressed or tired and sleeping through the night was problematic. At times it seems to fill my whole head. These are my coping strategies: Mindfulness-doing anything that I can just concentrate on such as colouring, baking, origami, crochet. I took up Tai-chi which is relaxing, there are some very good clips to follow on You Tube. I use a sound therapy unit at night, playing brown noise, it is important to set the volume below the level of the tinnitus otherwise the Tinnitus sound will increase and compete with it. I was very sceptical about using this at night but it is about retraining the brain, it took a few weeks for it to work for me and also to get the right sound. There are sound apps that you can download on a phone so no need to buy a special unit. I hope some of this may help you, unfortunately there is no magic cure and it is a case of finding out what works for you. x
no this is brilliant, everything you said is right i found some apps that help and i have them on i tend to have it low cos i was worried bout making the t worse but it has got better to sleep but its just i used to love chilling and that is what i cant seem to do but i have to stay positive otherwise its all i think about. thankyou for your kind words it really does help x
Tinnitus is not an affliction, but a sonar messaging from the galaxies and only those with a higher intelligence quota are detecting it. We are the chosen ones, what we need to do is reason with these resonances, decipher, decode and ultimately translate what is equivalent to a hieroglyphical metaphor in a scale of extreme octaves which are becoming more prevalent since the advent of a lessening in aviation due to Corona Virus restrictions.
