Has anyone on here tried the calmer in ear buds from flare audio? They claim to help with tinnitus so I got I pair. I haven’t seen any improvement and if anything, because they drown out background noise and certain frequencies o can hear my ringing even louder! They say you need to wear them for a few days so I’ll give them more time but wondered if anyone had different / better experience?

Hi, I asked the same question, if you use the search button you'll see a few people positive comments but most importantly a reply from the British Tinnitus Association (BTA) who said they would buy them, evaluate and then respond with their verdict (as there are plenty of snake oil products out there). All the best

Hi !! I bought them they are quite cheap , but had no effect on tinnitus !! They may help some but not me unfortunately!!

Same here...no help at all. Sounds are slightly different when listening to music but nothing major and didn’t soften the ringing. My experience any way 👍🏻

I lost one out of my ear after second wear!

I like to think I’m not a sucker for such snake oil treatments and these people have been clever either by design or accident in not making any tinnitus claims. The claims have come via social media and users.

I didn’t see any dramatic improvement in T, I got them as I thought it might help with hypercausis didn’t have them long enough to comment really.

They’re a reputable firm, and one is inclined to think £20 that’s not too much but it is for a bit of plastic really.

I think best wait for BTA pronouncement. Tho like all things T everything is subjective and the power of placebo is a powerful thing.

Many people, like myself have asked do these help with tinnitus? So I took the plunge and bought a pair. They arrived quickly were very easy to insert into the ears but for me after wearing them every day for a week there wasn't any noticeable difference to my hearing or my tinnitus. So I returned them and received a full refund less the postage. By the way you have to pay the cost of sending them back.

Yeah they don’t do much for me either. Shame as was hoping they’d at least help

I have them, I feel like, of course they don't work! Why would sticking a bit of plastic your ear stop tinnitus? I'm very sceptical of their "we were surprised it improves tinnitus claim" I suspect it's very clever marketing where they absolve themselves of making unfounded claims by pretending it's designed to stop distortion when in reality they know nobody will buy them for that reason but thousands of people will be happy to pay £20 just in case it helps with T. Most of their adverts I see are promoting them as help for T sufferers. But of course, they're not snake oil salesman because they never claimed it was ever "designed to stop T" .... Impressive marketing, I bet they've sold loads to T sufferers ££££
