Does this sound like Eustachian tube dysfunction?

my tinnitus reacts to every word spoken like this undertone to people's voices on tv, I hear it with music too almost doesnt matter what type of music or volume. I was born with severe hearing loss but this didnt happen til 6 months ago after a cold. I had clicking noises everytime I swallowed and sinus pressure even when my nose cleared up and couldn't taste anything well for a month and the tinnitus relapse happened then and things sounded a little distorted since then. I had two other colds since then and my last cold was 3 months ago. I have allergies now so not sure if that cold of caused it or what. I took a hearing test and didnt lose more hearing and idk what ot is but its distracting watching tv and hard to listen to music now without hearing that whistling effect or tinnitus undertone whine in certain frequencies. It's been going on 6 months now, some days it's a little better than others. I got a CT scan too and it didnt show anything. No fluid in ears eighter when I got checked 3 months ago but I heard you can have ETD without fluid in the ears. Doctor didnt stick a camera in my nose but I want him too now. I wanna be able to listen to music and watch tv again. I know I didnt always have these distortions cause 6 months before this, I was watching movies just fine without hearing any whistling and it's the same with music. Since it's been 6 months , I fear the distortion part will never go away . It seems to go away for most people in 3 months or so but it hasnt for me and I'm scared. Music and movies would be a distraction to my tinnitus. I should mention hearing distortion when I see a doctor again cause I didnt last time and I'm not sure why. I wake up sometimes but not often with some ear pain that lasts a few seconds but not too bad. I get a ticking sensation in my ear sometimes but it could be allergies. Not sure if reactive tinnitus is hypercusis but I hear it is or related to it. I been trying this thing the past week turning my hearing aid off for 30 minutes then turning it on exposing myself to everyday sound for 30 min then turning off my hearing aid then repeat. I cant wear earplugs as I dont have an ear canal in one ear but the other I'm 80 percent deaf so I dont know if ear plugs would work. I work in a grocery store and my ears would be screaming after a 4 hour shift sometimes. I'm suppose to go back in a few days as I took an abstence leave. I'm not sure what to do about this whistling effect with music or tv. Its distracting and ruins the experience. This all happened 6 months ago after a cold. I still hear clicking noises intermittently everyday but not when swallowing this time and occasionally I can wake up with ear pain that lasts a few seconds. I havent mentioned distortion to my doctor but I will make an appointment again but anyway anyone else who has hypercusis experience distortion with tv and music? How do you deal? Can Eustachian tube dysfunction cause this? I know I'm repeating the same post but I'm still looking for answers.

Hi, the clicking is almost certainly eustacian tube dysfunction. I have had this for a long time after having a sinus infection, voices seemed odd, running water sounds different and my hearing was echoed sometimes. It does eventually go but can take a while. Hooe this helps a bit. 👍
