Hi, i have had this engine sound on my right ear for two weeks. It's like someone is trying too park a car and you are on top of a building, and the guy is in the parking trying to park the car, revving it up and down.
Observations:
-It does not seem to match hearhrate, seems pretty random in the sense of revving up and down the pitch.
-It's barely audible, but annoying enough.
-It gets worse if I put my finger on the ear, like when you try to remove wax and you put the finger inside, and slowly bend it to make a vacuum effect sort of thing and push it out.
-Im not sure but I think it reacts to sound. Like when I use the blow drier in max mode. Or when someone makes a noise, like a neighbour is playing loud music and you get this low frequency rumble, it seems to vibrate, im not sure tho.
So im not sure if this is blood flow related, or this is very localised in the ear since it gets worse if I toch the ear. I wear earphones a lot of the day (not the ones you insert inside tho, the regular ones), but I dont tend to have them too loud. My hearing is good, havent done a test in ages but I have no problem earing. Im 30.
I've had tinnitus (the usual high pitched one) on the left ear for years, this one is new.
Im from spain and we are quarantined, so it doesn't seem to be like a good idea to go the doctor and risk getting a massive exposure to covid19 so im asking here if someone has had this, for how long, and what did you do.
