After waiting ten months since my hearing assessment I still have not had hearing AIDS fitted for my tinnitus.

I have suffered many years,

Finally I have assessment , expectations of some relief !!!

Still waiting for fitting .

QA Hospital has no Audiologists to fit them / rccutment problems , re PALS , ( not open ! )

I still have no sign of getting an appointment

I was told they Have a long list of people waiting for appointments & all this wating is not a cure or a fix , it may possibly help , something i still awate to see , as they have sitting on there shelf , to this date looks like short term gain - long term pain for NHS patients once again , !

Hi Kitten,

The NHS seems to be in crisis nationwide - in Shropshire there are not enough A&E consultants to run to department safely - terrible.

When I first got tinnitus the ENT waiting list was months long, so I paid privately (no I am not wealthy) which meant that I had a fast audiology referral.

Boots and Specsavers sell hearing aids, but I don’t know their £cost.

Did you get approved for full time disability?

The reason I ask is because I believe the hearing equipment is then free... ( in Australia) ?
