S after waited big 5 months for ent appointment and a further 5 weeks for MRI results it all clear . So what now. Still screaming in the ears ! My only hope my chiropractor who is convinced it's my neck and Chronic pain that's caused tinnitus .

Can you mask the noise? I know a lot of people mask the noise from the tinnitus so it is not so noticeable. I have tinnitus and mine is always changing from ringing to roaring or swooshing depending on how I am feeling. When I'm anxious my tinnitus increases drastically and it is the roaring that happens. I can't concentrate. What has helped me is to take a break, deep breathe and do meditation. I can't mask the noise as I am deaf. I know they seem like simple things but don't discount them. They really do work if you give them a chance.

I’m 37 years in & can tell you your reactions to tinnitus are your best tool..

See a Cbt councillor & split emotions, reactions, catastrophe from tinnitus.... tinnitus is tinnitus, the anxiety a result of your brain in fight or flight mode, panic, awful thoughts and round in a vicious circle you go even making Tinnitis seem worse than it was.....

Your own mind & the way you react are your best tool....

The ENT consultation and the MRI scan are more intended to rule things out, rather than to work out what's causing your T.

Please be careful with chiropractor. It’s such a complicated area you could cause more harm than good. I too have been told mine is down to the sorry state of my neck and I’ve been offered an operation to remove discs in my neck. As I’m not ready to have my neck slit yet and it’s only a hunch that it will solve my pt and hyperacusis I’m not going ahead just now. But the neurosurgeon did say absolutely no neck manipulation. Also I think PT is vascular.
