Hard to predict

I've had a bad two days with my tinnitus couldn't sleep Sunday or Monday night.had a drone noise constant in right ear and a loud hiss in left ear,but woke up this morning and had complete silence for 5 minutes.i nearly cried I was that happy but of course after that buzzing came back in left ear again but I never done anything yesterday that I didn't do the days before just can't understand. Absolutely no improvements at all regarding hyperacusis, hav'nt wore ear plugs in every day situations but no improvement at all.i'm off my head with this.but that 5 minutes of silence felt so good.

Good news Michael. Now habituation is a bit like riding a bike - wobbly and short lived at first, but the time spent on your bike (or in silence) will get longer and you will slip into doing more easily.

Try to relax about it, and it will happen!

Best wishes

Nic

Thanks nic,yes it is a bumpy Road.if I could get hyperacusis under control a bit now I would be laughing.don't want to get hopes up to early regarding tinnitus as if it starts to go mad your back to square one. 😤

Hi Michael, sorry you’re still suffering. Me too unfortunately. I go on holiday soon so I’m hoping a change of scenery and doing different things will take my mind off it.

Take care
