Advise needed

Getting a crossover hearing aid on friday. Never wore any aids in the past. I have total sudden hearing loss in my right ear, since November.

Any advise would be wonderful.

Just wear the aids or aid for a short while to start with - and my ear canals get itchy so I use Earol to moisten.
