Just when I thought my T was settling down..

I think the weekend past has got to be my worst spell ever with tinnitus. It started to ramp up mid week for no apparent reason and got steadily worse then hit an all time high around Friday night. I thought it was just a spike and would eventually calm down so I wasn't too concerned but this time, there has been no let up and it seems to be getting louder! I have been trying to cut back on the Amitrip and taking one every second night, so I am now wondering if that has made things worse. Has anyone found that reducing their medication has had this effect on their T?

Thanks for your reply. I hope you manage to identify which tablet is causing your spike and you get some relief soon. Since I posted earlier this morning, my T has settled a bit but it's still much louder than normal. I am going back to my normal dose of Amitrip for the next few nights to see if the T dies down a bit more.
