Been about six weeks now after having T mildly for 20 years when i woke one morning to find it got really bad. Just started to live with this unbelievable noise and getting used to it and I’m afraid it’s just stepped up again don’t know how much more I can take.

So sorry to learn of your distress. My tinnitus is always very loud first thing - and I am usually very dehydrated, which can increase the problem. Drink plenty of water, and just get the ear canals checked for blocked wax ..............also are you taking any new medication, which may cause the increase?

Hi berry76 my doctor changed my cholesterol tables about four months ago do you think it could be them as that make the timing right cheers John.

Hi, I have lived with it for 20 years and mine has just gone to a new level. It is now very loud and hard to live with. I thought I had got used to it but the new level is unbearable. I only suffer in my left ear. It is always the same day, or night. I feel your pain.

Oh gosh - I'm not "medical" but an increase in blood pressure could possibly raise the T level.

Perhaps the BTA has further information on cholesterol levels?
