I was fitted with twin NHS hearing aids on Monday and getting used to all the strange amplified sounds is interesting to say the least! Yesterday I was out walking with my wife and being a keen photographer, I carry my camera everywhere. Mid walk, I stopped to take a shot and began to adjust the settings for the best result. The camera was making some very odd sounds and thinking I had inadvertently changed some audio setting, I fiddled about with everything I could think of, but the sounds persisted. I must have been at it for about fifteen minutes, until my wife said " Could it be your hearing aids"....DUH!! I completely forgot I had them in and the noises the camera was making were quite normal but amplified about twenty times! Talk about feeling stupid!

Funny! thanks for sharing...I remember my first days of HA a few months ago...hearing things I never realised were not there! Now when my HAs are off the world sounds quieter! Unfortunately, my T is louder. Have a blessed week.
