well after at least 3 weeks ofT being quiet i was beginning to think i was winning my wife was in hosp and few other things had my mind distracted so i thought i was winning a bit at last! back pain arrived followed by inability to walk properly so had to go for a scan which showed not much but still pain there and then my left leg decides to stop working without being painful then BANG there it was screaming in my ears back to normal no escape i was also waiting on an exam for my prostrate since april by the hosp, more tabs to take now and the T just goes on and on. i think if your fit its easier to deal wiith it but as im not im struggling now.worse than i was afew months ago, and the sleeping pills dont always work so great! no sleep either! i really though i had an improvement for a while but sadly no just want to be able to walk and move without pain now and see how the T goes!!!!!

Funny old thing this life business. Sorry to hear that you have more to deal with. God must think that you have broad shoulders.

Good luck on your journey.

Hi Drumcraw, I'm sorry to hear about your many health issues but you say your going for a prostrate examination and I thought it prudent to inform you that many of the drugs designed to shrink the prostrate have very serious side effects. I know because I've experienced them first hand. But, worse, I strongly recommend you read the side effects listed inside the prescription before you take any pills. They state you have a 1 in 100 chance of having a stroke or a heart attack after taking them but your more likely to have headaches, nausea or dizzy-spells severe in many cases. I took just two tablets and it felt as though a giant was standing on my head, it was awful, it was only at this point I read the prescription side effects in the box which also informs you to go to the nearest hospital if the side effects are making you feel ill....I decided to hang it out and suffered all day with one of the worst headaches I've ever had. I took the tablets back to the chemists and have now decided to try the natural route to cure my enlarged prostrate at Holland & Barrats. So be very careful if you go on these tablets, their dangerous.

As for your Tinnitus playing up, its that time of the year again, the dark nights, Halloween, the cold etc a mixture that changes our neurological systems turning up the volume on top of everything else we have to put up with. I've noticed my Tinnitus more in the last few days and I'm convinced hormones play a big- part to it. For example, there is less light now than there was in September: less Serotonin and more of the dark, sleepy hormone, Melatonin . I wish you well, I know it isn't easy having multiple health issues I've no difficulty forgetting my Tinnitus, it's always there in the background to everything else.

Best Wishes to you Sir !

hi blaze 53, thanks very much for your reply, i did start tabs for prostrate but only for a few days and checked the side effects. the reason for this was i found i couldnt sleep even with the sleeping pills and also felt quite unwell physically in general but as we all know less sleep means MORE tinnitus! or at least it SEEMS more! I have stopped the tabs and do feel better and did manage to get some sleep allbeit with sleeping pills. I would be very grateful if you could tell me the natural alternatives to the tabs please, thnaks for your concern craw.

Thank you Drumclaw. I'm going to" Holland & Barrats" health store tomorrow afternoon and will post you tomorrow night on the prostrate tablets they have available. I know they work well because a friend of mine is on them and has a good result. They are natural and therefore safe to take.

I'll get back to with the info.

best wishes.

Hi Drumcraw ! As promised I went into my local Holland & Barrat health store and got the info on Prostrate health tablets. For a start the assistant in the store confirmed these tablets are among the top selling health supplements for the company, they are safe and healthy for the body.

These are " Pumpkin Seeds" at £ 15.79 for a months supply but on their penny sales you get 2 months for the price of 1 months supply. Furthermore, " Saw Palmetto" £ 27.99 for 200 caps 450 mg or £13.99 for 30 caps 320 mg .

I'd like to point out that you can buy " Pumpkin Seeds" in their raw form from Tesco at half the price but you'd need a grinder to pound them into dust then sprinkle them on your food.

One last point the penny sale is on until the end of November whereby both products work out half price. So if you can take advantage of this you save some money. I've both products but it will be some months before I know if they are working in my system. As you well know, getting up 2 or 3 times a night to the toilet is a nuisance when you've Bells ringing in your ears. Your back down the snake to square one as in snakes and ladders and you start over getting back to sleep.

Best Wishes to you Sir, I hope this is of some help to you.
