So, 125mg daily was too little, 150mg daily was too much, and now I'm on 100/125mg on alternate days. Can anyone explain why this would be correct?
Endo got back to me, and has DECREASED my dosage from 150mg daily, to 100/125mg on alternate days. Not sure that this is what I'd have done, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and get retested in 6 weeks.

'Fine tuning' or 'tweaking' the dose by alternating like this is quite normal and certainly works for some. In the US where they have much bigger production lines, you can actually get the 'in between' dose tablets (112.5mcg in your case), which makes life easier than alternate day dosing. Is the endo doing this based on test results, if so, what were your test results that has lead to this?
Sorry, i meant to add that it would seem to make more sense to try you on alternating 125/150mcg (137.5mcg). Maybe the endo made a genuine slip with the numbers?
I agree...I couldn't cope with 75 and 50 was too little so am now on 50/75 on alternative days...think they messed up....contact them and ask! good luck
With those results, if I were you I would not be trialling the 100/125mcg alternating dose. It seems much more obvious to trial you on 125/150mcg. I do think this is a mistake
So glad someone else thinks that. That was my first reaction, and I needed to read the email more than once to check what he said.
Having said that, since my dosage increased, my heart has been going like a train... which is never good. Gonna increase my dosage to 125/150 alternating, as this makes more sense, I feel.
That's what I thought I should do, until the Endo said otherwise. Think I'm going to follow my gut instinct, and the advice from you guys, and do just that!
May I ask whether you are feeling any better with alternate dosing. My doctor has increased my dosage from 125 to 150 and I feel like somebody is sitting on my chest!! Quite alarming really as I have never had this before (I have been taking 125 for several years and only just started feeling unwell again!). I wonder whether this alternate dosage would work for me - my doctor is sympathetic but not very knowleagble on this subject so any help would be good. He also says I have Fibro, which I understand from this site is another way of telling me I am undermedicated. Could I be taking too much? Thanks for any help.
