Wow, what a difference a day makes! Had a quick navigation and it all looks nice and neat and tidy but not sure what the new 'messages' inbox is for, is it for members to chat to each other privately or is it for admin staff to speak to members? Also, the radio box beneath this question what is meant by the choice given? I thought you had to be a member to see this website anyway so who is everyone?
New Website and some questions about it. - Thyroid UK
New Website and some questions about it.
Hi HypoT2years,
Glad you like the neatness of the new site!
Regarding your questions
1) Messages is the same as conversations, just a bit slicker - it's a way of getting in touch with other members, and of admins contacting groups of members. We had a bit of feedback that conversations was confusing as a term in some new groups, so have tried to keep our module names simpler (for the same reason Big Question is now "polls" and helpvine is now "questions".
2) Many of the blogs and questions that appear in HealthUnlocked groups create a valuable learning resource that will help others. By making the post "visible to everyone" the wider population beyond the Thyroid UK will be able to read and benefit from the information. However, if the information is sensitive or personal, you can make it visible only to members of the group. Privacy/visibility is now the choice of the individual blogger or questioner, as the feedback has been that some people want their blogs to be searchable in google, others don't (hence the radio buttons)
Best wishes
Matt
Thanks Matt.
On the old site, I used to be able to click on my profile and see recent activity... This would let me see if anyone had answered my posts.....
I can no longer do this so I have to go through all the questions........which can take a very long time.
Where can I see what I've posted and what people have posted in reply please?
Nel
Love it , seems to be much faster and really sharp ,set out really well , just one thing on messages I wish when your talking to people the last message was at the top not at the bottom !,I can't begin to tell you how much this site has helped me so a big thanks for the great work you all do .

And I wish that comments on Poll were (still) in order from most recent first. I have misty recollection that the order of messages was most recent last when the site first got going and was later changed to most recent first - possibly after a suggestion?
