Having had and still have mine going haywire, the article above makes for sobering and interesting reading.
In my case if somebody had run a thyroid test, when my periods went haywire and energy level went flat among other common symptons, I may not be in the horrific state I am now left in care of surgeons and Drs who failed to hear what I was reporting.
It was when I was put on Deprovera the panic set in. I went a few hours later to a party I went from happy directly into a full blow red mist rage. I scared myself such was the ferocity of my rage. I could not control myself at all. I still now suffer nightmares and anxiety of I feel a red mist appear.
The rage was brought on by... the barman put 4 icecubes in my orange juice instead of 5.. I just went ballistic. I felt as though I was being pulled backwards watching but unable to stop this monster that took over. I didnt even realise I had shattered the glass in my hand and cut myself quite badly.
Thats when I learnt all about hormonal imbalances and how much they are real issues. certainly not ' womans problems' to be dismissed by Drs.
