Did you by any chance mean NeoMercazole?

If you follow this link, you get to see the Summary of Product Characteristics from the MHRA's Electronic Medicines Compendium site for Amdipharm Plc's NeoMercazole product:

medicines.org.uk/EMC/medici...

The other make they have SPCs for is Sovereign Medical and the SPC for that make is here:

medicines.org.uk/EMC/medici...

and

medicines.org.uk/EMC/medici...

I cannot find any real reference to Neocarimazole, anywhere!

If I happen to be right, it appears that NeoMercazole is being withdrawn from the UK market.

Also, they are regarded as equivalent to each other. I have never had to take either - can anyone else comment on whether they felt there was any difference?

I couldn't find any 10mg tablets - did you by any chance mean 20mg?

Yes, thank you I meant NeoMercazole . I am taking 10mg Carbimazol (condensed white shiny tablet) around 11am and later in the day say 6pm I take 5mg NeoMercazole (pinkish round tablet).

My blood results are within range except TSH barely detectable. I checked the web site it seems the two tablets are same, and one is withdrawn from the UK market. Thank You for your response.

No I think from my own experience that it is still carbimazole but just different manufacturers. I have had carbimazole of differing mg's and some are white and some pale pink and I have not taken neomercazole.

The pink one tastes slightly sweet which makes me think it is just different fillers.
