What should I know about deleted posts?

I got notified there was a post about deleted posts with 44 replies and went to read it, but it's gone. What's that about? What should I know?

It was just to say that now, if you decide to delete a comment on a thread, it won't just disappear any more. It will now be replaced by an anonymous "This comment has been deleted" post.

Health Unlocked (our hosts) have decided to let deleted posts remain, in order to speed up the site.

We tried to inform people of this, as most of them are just deleted by the user (change of mind or to edit) and Admins hardly ever delete any (I never have except duplicates). Unfortunately I think this was mis-interpreted. Jane :D

Hi

Sorry, that was my blog, it was a bit misinterpreted.

I just wanted to let everyone know that if you delete your own comment, it will now show as having been deleted. HU tech used to hide them, but they have decided not to anymore, in the hopes that it will help with site speed.

I just wanted to ask people to try not to delete things unless they really need to, just because it makes the site look a bit untidy and disjointed. And everyone is left wondering what was deleted! lol!

THANKS!!!

Oh my goodness, I delete loads of my posts as there is pretty much something wrong with them every time and I don't see it before I press the button to send. You will have a whole file just of mine!
