If i was injecting B12 once a month IM, how often should i inject if i've switched to injecting sub cue?

I would feel the benefit of an IM shot within 24 hours (increased energy, less fatigue), but with the sub cue injections, even though injecting more frequently, i am tired all the time.

Can anyone shed any light please?

I think you have to take into consideration that your fatigue now 'could be' down to other factors, if I remember right you have had some things happening that are not 'usual' for your body to go through with?

As for your question:

I don't think there is a proper calculation, I have learnt by experience over the months how often to self inject and I now have settled for every 5 to 7 days.

Some inject every other day, some like me some every month, we are all different.

Have you looked on the pernicious anaemia society forum? there are so many people there :)

I'm low on energy so am looking to be spoon fed the info :-)

Somewhere i once read something about sub cue being slower acting, surely then you'd need less.

I was wanting to understand the difference in absorption between the 2 techniques

Blue, Treatment for pernicious anemia has changed from injections to oral B12 in some places. Why not try the sublingual B12 on a daily basis and see if it gives better results. It is not expensive.

Please be aware that a normal injection of Vit B12 should last three months, I have found that some people need one every two months but have not found many people needing them more than that. It is not stored so you are wasting a lot. If you are still suffering then you need to find out if there is anything else going on as has been suggested by others.
