Unbearable itching

Hi there, I wondered if unbearable itching on face , neck, scalp, behind ears and arms are a symptom of an underactive thyroid. I was diagnosed about 16 months ago and most symptoms have been relatively ok, but this itching is really getting me down. If it is another symptom is there any medication that could help??

Hi Pebbles, I had OVER active 5 years ago and got dreadful itching.. Now have underactive and am on Levothyroxine 75mcg.. Recently bloods say i'm within normal limits but do get itching of eyes and forearms and scalp so maybe more common than we think.. Might be worth seeing Dr and asking about Antihystamine?? Hope you feel better soon.... Perks
