Last week/this week…

Hiya,

last week i swapped over from sigma pharm 5mcg t3 twice a day to thybon henning (because of cost issues).

For a few days, I felt absolutely lousy - bit dizzy, bit spaced out, legs and thighs aching, lethargic, my weight went up a bit again!! Also had a couple of weird palpitation episodes which I just ignored because it happened about 8hours after my t3 when i was due to take the next one (which I did and was fine).

Today I feel bloody fabulous! I went out to the coffee shop this morning and sat and did some writing (fingers flying across the keyboard like a demon!), came home and went for a fairly swift walk around the block (15 mins). Sat down for a bit. Husband went to appt so I went out for another walk around the block because I felt full of life and energy!! Never before has this happened. Came back home, did a bit of weeding in the garden and a bit of tidying up. Could have done more but decided to stop and rest now and take it a bit easy rest of the day.

Could it be the change in medication that produced this feeling crap - feeling great?

(it won’t last….it never does🤣)

OMG!!! I would love it if it did. 🫶🏻🙏I changed my appt with the gp because I wasn’t sure if it was changing the meds or whether it was because of the usual feel great-plateau-feel crap treadmill I’ve been on. I just remembered I changed my levo from teva to accord too a week or so before changing t3.

presumably you are cutting Thybon Henning into 1/4’s to get 5mcg …..?

Yes, SlowDragon 1/4 tab about 6 am then another 1/4 about 3pm

Just thought it worth checking that you weren’t taking whole tablet!

Sigma T3 contains mannitol……

and loads of people find Thybon Henning the best

So it could simply be the change in brand

Hehe! oh yes, definitely always worth checking !! It’s funny because on Sigma I never really felt any effects at all of note. In fact, in the beginning they just sent me to sleep! Yes, maybe it is just the change to thybon that suits me better. Thanks SD

I experienced your symptoms when my T4 dose was not enough for me. When the Dr added some T3 to my T4 he lowered my T4 way to low. And I experienced a T3 run out and had palpitations.Just sharing my experiences. I hope it helps you.

Yes, thanks for the info, my t4 dropped when i added t3 and the gp increased my t4 again. It might be the levels are still adjusting. I’ve decided to do another blood test in a couple of weeks just to see how things are. I’m still feeling quite well at the moment - feeling brighter, happier, more energised, but it never seems to last for too long! I think maybe my doses are still in the fine-tuning stage. Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m still getting small/dull palpitations very occasionally so it may well be the t3 dose…or maybe a change in brand to thybon and things just settling. I’ll get the bloods done and see. My last t3 went up to 6.1 after the levo increase, but sudden rises followed by levels dropping has happened to me before. It’s all a learning curve isn’t it. x
