Any one who's had a total thyroidectomy had negative experiences particularly with extreme fatigue, pain, neuropathy and autonomic dysfunction such as POTs?

chronic fatigue syndrome /fibromyaglia/autonomic dysfunction post total thyroidectomy

No, but I have read that surgery can be a trigger for autonomic dysfunction. I have dysautonomia from a virus so have been reading all I can find.
Sorry you're going through all that, I know it's really difficult.
Hello Sam3tu:
Looking back I see you were with an endocrinologist who prescribed a T3/T4 combination of thyroid hormones and found some relief from some of your debilitating symptoms.
Are you still on T3/T4 and do you have any blood test results you might like explained to you ?
A fully functioning working thyroid would be supporting you on a daily basis with trace elements of T1. T2 and calcitonin + a measure of T3 at around 10 mcg + a measure of T4 at around 100 mcg .
No thyroid hormone replacement works well until the core strength vitamins and minerals - ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D are up and maintained at optimal levels - so we can advise on these as well should you have some current readings - as we do need optimal readings - rather than just being somewhere in a range :
The only treatment option you haven't tried is Natural Desiccated Thyroid - I'm not sure how easy it is to acquire Thyroid Extract in Australia - but this is the original treatment for hypothyroidism and has been used successfully for over 100 years by thousands of people :
NDT is derived from pig thyroids, dried and ground down into tablets and referred to as grains and contains all the same known hormones as that of the human thyroid gland namely -trace elements of T1. T2 and calcitonin + a measure of T3 and a measure of T4 in each grain.

What are your most recent thyroid and vitamin results
Exactly what vitamin supplements are you taking
you have Hashimoto’s pre thyroidectomy so are you on strictly gluten free diet and/or dairy free….or tried either/both
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test
is this how you do your tests
Many people on Levo plus T3 find they need BOTH Ft4 and Ft3 at least 60-70% through range
