Hi there,
Could anyone recommend a reputable, budget-friendly company that offers DIO2 testing?
How long does it take for the results to arrive?
Thank you in advance

this one is recent Thyroid UK, currently £127.

Someone will correct me but I think you need to have a professional on hand to read/interpret.
That's funny I looked and couldn't find it... but you are right that they insist it is sent to a medical professional but it really isn't hard to understand, it was just something to do with complying with a European Law so why that is still the case I have no idea!
You can get the results sent to your (likely clueless) GP and then ask for a print out but you might not want them to know the result unless it is helpful 😬do you have a medical prefessional friend?
Hmm... it used to be Regenerus but I don't think they offer it any more, it was always a bit of a drama getting the results... did a bit of searching and came up with countryhealth.co.uk/product...
But I don't know anything about them
The Thyroid UK link is Regenerus, but the Regenerus site is geared towards practitioners rather than punters like us 🌱
Yep, they did mine a couple of years ago hence the drama knowledge, so maybe it has to be requested through a practitioner these days?
I did mine through Blue Horizon last January. Results sent me with interpretation and advice.
Thank you all for your responses!
I had mine done by Regenerous approx 4 years ago. It cost around £80. I was only on Levothyroxine 125mg daily and I was really struggling with fatigue and many other symptoms. My GP didn't want to know about the test but the written result was a definite plainly written positive and the defective gene which can be inherited from parents( my mother was Hypothyroid hasi)It was a Saliva test. I proved positive and I went private to Endocrinologist who looked at test result and immediately wrote to my GP and suggested a 3 month trial of Liothyronine 20 mg daily and reduced my levo dose to 100mg daily. It worked wonders! That was over 3 years ago and I'm still on same dosage. My GP tried every excuse prior to me seeing Endo saying T3 was witchcraft prescribed by quacks !!! Basically she didn't want to prescribed at the time back then due to cost. It was around £100 per prescription. But cheaper now. Stick out. Get the test and see an Endo with results. Good luck
