Can I ask/insist my GP refers me to an NHS Endocrinologist who is not in my Trust area?

Hi. For context, I am in the Stockport area (Stockport NHS Foundation Trust), but the NHS Endo I want to see is in an NHS hospital in Wigan i.e Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. This hospital is 36 miles from my home address. Please can you quote anything I can refer to via GP as necessary e.g 'Patient Choice', if indeed that still applies? I do not want to see any NHS Endos ever again in Stockport (or Macclesfield/East Cheshire NHS Trust)because I've seen them all at various times over the years since my Hypo diagnosis in 2011 - and all, without exception were utterly useless and gaslit the hell out of me every single time. Many thanks in advance for any advice you may have on my posts Q 😊
