I am well treated on thyroid meds but last year had to deal with flu, pneumonia, sepsis, severe septic shock and multiple organ failure. I'm mostly physically recovered but now struggling mentally. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and prescribed Sertraline.
Of course when I asked the GP about taking it in the morning, he said oh you can take it at the same time as your thyroid meds. I've given it an hour in between but should I be giving it longer?
Many thanks,
Helen

No advice but just wanted to say that sounds awful, you poor thing. I had pneumonia in November and the physical recovery was fine but I too feel mentally scarred from the whole experience. I have read the pneumonia can lead to depression, and yes it's been a really dark time. I hope the sertraline helps you x
I take Sertraline at night and Levo in the mornings. I’m not surprised you have PTSD from your experience. I’m so sorry for you ( I have PTSD ) . Sertraline will help with catastrophising thoughts x
No I’ve been on sertraline for many years and on Levo for 3. Sertraline is a game changer for PTSD sufferers as it stops the worrying thoughts…… or should I say slows them down
