Scandal Of ME/CFS UK Treatment
I went on the 6 week course for ME/CFS last year ( called “Fatigue Management). It’s run by occupational therapists now. There was no mention of GET or that the illness is psychological in fact quite the opposite. It’s all about “acceptance” “prioritising” “planning” and “pacing”. Yes there is a lot of “goal setting” bean bag talk but I didn’t feel anyone was judging my psychological approach. In fact I was constantly assured that my condition was very real. My GP was the first medic to diagnose ME/CFS 🤷♀️
That's very reassuring I know both Fibro and CFS have often been dismissed in the past as hypochondria or malingering. I hope the research into Long Covid throws up some new treatments or even a cure one day. We can hope anyway 🙂

Was about to post this but you beat me to it by many hours.
It’s an excellent article demonstrating how a charlatan can do a huge an amount of damage yet gets promoted to a professor. It smacks of similar going on in endocrinology, pushed by similar phoney professors. Spouting rubbish based on research of zero quality or value. I’m going to ask him to investigate the scandal of thyroid treatment too.
Thanks for posting.
Excellent article . thanks .
I followed his link and read NICE's rebuttal (where they tell trudy chalder et al. where to GET off) which was highly enjoyable ...
I would like to write him a letter as requested , but i have to prioritise my energy and be selfish for a while , so i'm not going to.
