It's only your TSH marked up as abnormal as it is below range, your fT3 & 4 are well within range so if you feel well I wouldn't let them reduce your dose...

If you think you are a little over medicated I would just make a very small reduction like 25mcg or 50mcg a week and wait 6-8 weeks to retest

To really find your sweet spot you have to make smaller and smaller changes

Thankyou , I feel like there’s a flutter in my throat aswell can your thyroid gland do that ? So I’m on 75 , so shall I try to reduce to 50 everyday for 6 to 8 weeks see how I go , are my reading still showing under active ?

Free T4 (fT4) 18.4 pmol/L (12 - 22) 64.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 5 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 51.4%

T4:T3 Ratio 3.680

I wouldn't suggest you reduce at all as you are only mid range but if you feel it is too much then I would suggest reducing by 50mcg over the week not daily! So maybe once or twice a week take 50mcg and the rest of the week take 75mcg

How have you felt since reducing from 100mcg better or worse? Being over or undermedicated can feel very similar

How are all your other vits and mins doing, important that ferritin, folate, Vit D and B12 are in a good place...

It could just be that you have had a hashi flare which speeds things up for a while before dropping back

Just pulled up these results from 2 months ago, have you been supplementing as folate and Vit D really low and B12 could be better

Hi Prosecco

Just edited your image as there was still a bit of sensitive stuff (Doctors name and location) on bottom of tests. The image isn’t as good now but readable. If you want to take another picture of results minus personal details and swap it out there is the edit function under ‘more’ at the bottom of your post 😉👍

TiggerMe has flagged something very important. In order to feel well we need vitamins and minerals to be good in range not just dragging along the bottom. Ferritin can raise if we have gone through the menopause. I saw a suite of ranges had been created for ages the other day I’m going to be racking my brains to think where I saw it. 🤔.

Hopefully someone can advise on that. But yes D, B and folate are low and this could actually be contributing to you feeling a bit ‘palpy’. I would definitely not reduce your medication. Your thyroid hormone are mid range and perhaps now is the time to focus on getting the other half of the equation sorted before anything else.

The guideline dose is 1.6ug per kg (it’s a guide not a diktat 😉) for me at 15 stone (still - I eat too much😬) that comes out at 150ug which is where my symptoms fell away but by this time I had been working on my vitamins and they had been rather low in range at the start. This is common for us hypos as nothing works properly including digestion so we don’t absorb the nutrients from the food we eat.

I’ll pop off and try to find SlowDragon’s info on vitamins with all her links to information. Back in a while 🤗

Hi again Prosecco

I would perhaps start a separate post on this specific aspect of taking vitamins with the medication you are on for heart arrhythmia. Need to consider the whole not just your thyroid. I would personally see if any lived experience on here could shed light on how best to proceed AND have a good look through the info SlowDragon has amassed AND perhaps see if there are any studies that discuss this issue. Lots to do but doing the ground work will pay dividends. 😉👍

This is a quick- fix! It is a link to another post looking at vitamin deficiencies- oodles of information and links. If you have a gander at this it will help you tremendously.

I have found getting good levels above mid range in my case has undoubtedly improved my health- I rarely get colds but when I do now I seem to get over them better.
