Special days for particular causes are nothing new, and probably have limited impact. Nonetheless, given the profound impact of thyroid disease on our mental health, it does seem worth being aware. And, just maybe, spreading the word across the various social media you use?

Particularly pointing out the positive that improved thyroid health can often help improve mental health. And avoiding the dismissal of thyroid as a vital factor - even by some mental health "experts".

10 October is World Mental Health Day

The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.

The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.
