For a fewcyears now My resting heart rate checked on my fitbit watch has been low, always around 50 -54, I have increased my levo the ladt 2 weeks and resting heart rate is now 59, I know normal is 60 - 100.How does thyroid issues, levo affect resting heart rate, because mine has risen does that mean I'm taking to much levo, now on 112.5 a day or does it mean my thyroid is now regulating because of the levo i am taking ?
Thanks

Yes any replacement thyroid hormones affect heart rate
No point considering what results are yet
It takes at least 6-8 weeks for each dose increase to settle
Initially heart rate will increase, then as your body gets use to increase, HR may reduce a bit
Get thyroid and vitamin levels retested 2-3 months after each dose increase
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
The little bit of extra Levo will have sped up your tick over which can raise you core temperature and heart rate so you aren't always 🥶but if you take too much you might become🥵
59bpm is where mine sits and feels pretty comfortable (55 post meno, pretty active)... if you are super fit you might expect lower and still tick over warm
This is where you listen to your body and make tiny adjustments to suit you... it may be that if winter ever starts you might want a little more etc
