I find biting open a vitamin D capsule and rubbing the oil on an insect bite or sun/oven burns very effective, might be worth a try!

You could try aloe vera gel. Mozzies are most active at dawn and dusk so since you seem to be a target, long trousers -v- shorts should help deter them. I dab my ankles with a mix of almond carrier oil and organic essential lavandin oil so you could try that if long trews are too hot.

I've found tea tree oil to be a good repellant and it helps with itching too. Hope you find some relief!

LOL! You will repel all living creatures with tea tree oil 😂😂 And if you start mixing it with other oils, ohhhh boy those mosquitos are going to drop dead 3 feet away from you 😂

Oh I'm so sorry :( If the Vit D, aloe gel, and tea tree oil don't work, there's always calamine lotion, if you can find it there. Google says it's called "loción de calamina" and appears to be available in Spain OTC.

During a holiday in Spain my husband was bitten by mozzies and as well as all the itching, one of his hands swelled to three times it’s normal size. We bought a B vitamins supplement and as soon as he started on the tablets, the mozzies left him alone. A health shop owner told me it’s vitamin B1 that they don’t like.
